About MASCC Study Groups

The MASCC Study Groups promote and organize research and education within their specialties. Study Groups meet each year at the MASCC/ISOO Annual Meeting. You can join up to three Study Groups when you join MASCC, and you can also join or change your Study Group selection at any time.

Benefits of Joining a Study Group

Through Study Group membership, you become an integral part of a worldwide network of supportive care specialists. Study Group membership provides opportunities to do any or all of the following:

  • Get involved in projects, surveys, guideline development, and aother MASCC activities. 
  • Help monitor Study Groups web pages; report on recent activities and post helpful resources. 
  • Help review meeting abstract submissions and educational materials.
  • Meet professionals from around the world who share your clinical and research interests.
  • Meet experts in the field and work on projects with them.

Choosing Your Study Groups

Good ways to learn about Study Groups are to review their web page here at the MASCC website and attend their meetings at the MASCC Annual Meeting in June. You can also contact a Study Group’s leaders or the MASCC Study Group Coordinator, Don Gubitosa for more information, feedback, or suggestions.

To Select or Change Your Study Groups

Go to “My Account” and then “Edit My Profile.” Keep your Study Group memberships up to date in order to receive the latest updates and emails from the Study Group Chairs.

Update your Profile!

Keep your Account Profile up to date with your correct email address and make sure your Study Group preferences are selected. The email address you provide will be used to contact you with information and updates from the Study Group Chairs.

Study Group Workshops

Each year, several in-depth workshops, provided by one or more study groups, are presented at the MASCC/ISOO Annual Meeting. These well-attended workshops provide opportunities for participants to hear about the latest research, to share their own experience, and to meet colleagues with similar interests.
