MASCC and Its Mission
The Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC) is an international multidisciplinary organization dedicated to research, practice, and education in all aspects of supportive care for people with cancer, regardless of the stage of their disease. Membership is open to medical oncologists, nurses, dentists, dental hygienists, pharmacists, psychologists, social workers, and others interested in supportive care. MASCC holds an annual joint meeting with the International Society of Oral Oncology (ISOO), which addresses oral complications secondary to cancer and its treatment.

What is Supportive Care?
Supportive care in cancer is the prevention and management of the symptoms and side effects of cancer and its treatment across the cancer continuum from diagnosis to the end of life. It includes support for patients, their families, and their caregivers. At MASCC, we believe that supportive care improves both quality of care and quality of life.

MASCC Study Groups
MASCC members can participate in up to three Study Groups, each focused on a different aspect of supportive care. Study Groups work on research and educational projects, develop practice guidelines, correspond throughout the year, and hold a business meeting at the MASCC/ISOO Annual Meeting.
