Infection and Neutropenia (below is the psychosocial intro, please write an intro for infection) Welcome to the MASCC psychosocial study group resource and education center. Here, you will find a variety of topics related to the psychosocial care of patients and their families living with cancer.
The majority of our presentations at this time come from outstanding contributions from the MASCC 2004 annual symposium in Miami, Florida. We believe you will agree these presentations are made by a distinguished and experienced faculty. It is anticipated a number of additional topics to emerge from the February 2005 Supportive Care symposium which will be held in San Francisco, California.
As you look through other resource centers, such as: Palliative Medicine, Quality of Life, and Patient and Professional Education, you may find additional areas with relevance to psychosocial issues. We invite you to visit frequently, as we continue to keep our resource center as current and interesting as possible. (these are the psychosocial categories - I need the categories for your presentations here) Browse the topics at the right including: Psycho Oncology Psychosocial Issues and End of Life Care Survivorship Issues Patient Education Patient & Family Compassion Fatigue Symposium proceedings are made available by a generous grant from Amgen
Let us know if you have any comments or suggestions. Messages can be sent to the chairs of the study groups. Thank you, and we hope that you find this resource center helpful. Note: These presentations are best played with a high speed internet connection (broadband). Slower connection speeds may experience delays or pauses until slides fully load. Please be patient.
