Antiemetic Guidelines- Updated December 2007

MASCC Antiemesis Tool (MAT) The MAT is available in English and five languages (French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish), obtained by the standard forward/backward translation process. The MASCC Antiemesis Tool (MAT) was developed by members of MASCC to assist patients and oncology professionals in communicating accurately about the prevention and control of nausea and vomiting that may occur with chemotherapy.  The concept of the MAT is to provide an easy-to-use and easy-to-evaluate tool to assist in providing the best individual care to patients.  Additionally, the tool will aid treatment centers in understanding the effectiveness of their antiemetic strategies.
