Study Groups

Working groups, named study groups, have been created in order to conduct clinical research or to develop some educational programs in specialized fields of supportive care of cancer.

The Resources found here are a major initiative.  You will see continued growth in content and depth in all areas related to supportive care.  Presentations from the MASCC/ISOO symposiums are found in the Virtual meeting but also categorized within each study group section. We endeavor to provide information in a lively and helpful manner that encompasses frequently encountered problems, and authoritative information on supportive cancer care topics found primarily on the MASCC Web Site.

We welcome your comments, support and involvement in all ways. Help bring the latest research and developments to other professionals. Contact the study group chair in the study group that you are interested in to participate.

Thanks for your support.

Antiemetic Guidelines

Mucositis: Perspectives and Clinical Practice Guidelines

MASCC Oral Agent Teaching Tool (MOATT)

MASCC Antiemesis Tool (MAT)
The MAT is available in nine languages, obtained by the standard forward/backward translation process.
The MASCC Antiemesis Tool (MAT) was developed by members of MASCC to assist patients and oncology professionals in communicating accurately about the prevention and control of nausea and vomiting that may occur with chemotherapy.  The concept of the MAT is to provide an easy-to-use and easy-to-evaluate tool to assist in providing the best individual care to patients.  Additionally, the tool will aid treatment centers in understanding the effectiveness of their antiemetic strategies.

Thanks to all the MASCC members for their assistance with these efforts.
