MASCC/ISOO Annual International Symposium
Supportive Care in Cancer
The MASCC / ISOO International Symposium on Supportive Care in Cancer is designed to educate and inform an international audience of health care professionals on methods to minimize therapy-induced side effects and the symptoms and complications associated with cancer.
The Symposium follows the tradition of bringing together health care professionals from many countries and fields of expertise. State-of-the-art research and methods to minimize and prevent cancer-induced side effects, symptoms and complications of its treatment, and psychosocial issues facing cancer patients and families are presented and discussed via didactic presentations, proffered papers, posters of selected abstracts, and discussions.
The organization’s many study groups meet to talk about the group’s accomplishments to date and plans for the coming year. These meetings also give members the opportunity to network with each other and share ideas on mutual interests.
This Symposium is intended for physicians, nurses, dentists, oral surgeons, dental hygienists, pharmacists, social workers, nutritionists, and other health care providers involved with the care of cancer patients.
