Scholarship Recipient Testimonials
"I have greatly been benefited on the professional and personal front due to my participation and I foresee translation of the knowledge gained to the healthcare setup in India. I would request sponsors to continue and if possible increase the support for those participants who would be unable to participate in the meeting consequent to the financial hardships. In sum, my attending the conference was only possible consequent to the Travel Scholarship and I would have missed the benefits enumerated otherwise." (India)
"I am very grateful to management of MASCC which has created an opportunity for my second trip on Meeting. This unique Association is the leader among the organizations, prosecuting subjects of supportive care in cancer and constantly promoting progress in development of scientific researches and increase of knowledge among oncologists of many countries." (Armenia)
"I would wish to congratulate the MASCC Board for diving the developing countries a priority in attending this Conference by offering the travel grants. Kenya had 4 recipients and this is a real achievement and a great boost to the Cancer care services in this region. …As a result of my attendance to this conference, a feedback meeting will be held in our institution in the month of July and prepare them to disseminate this information through the same channel to both Medical and Nursing students in early August . We will also arrange and do the same through a Continuous Medical Education to the nearby district hospital and to all Oncology Satellite sites by the end of October. THANKS TO MASCC FOR THIS GREAT ACHIEVEMENT AND EYE OPENER." (Kenya)
"I was delighted with the opportunity of receiving the scholarship to participate in this conference and I am sure that the knowledge acquired will be helpful in my research work. I will make sure to share this knowledge among my colleagues to improve health care professional practice in supportive care in cancer. Thank you very much for your support." (Brazil)
"I am glad and grateful to the MASCC Awards Committee for enabling me to attend this important meeting giving me the chance to learn a lot about supportive cancer care." (Macedonia)
