Dear Colleagues: On behalf of the Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC) and the International Society of Oral Oncology (ISOO), it is our pleasure to invite you to participate in the 2010 International Symposium on Supportive Care in Cancer to be held in Vancouver, Canada, June 24-26, 2010. The MASCC/ISOO 2010 International Symposium on Supportive Care in Cancer follows the tradition of bringing together health care professionals from many countries and many fields of expertise for an exceptional forum of ideas, lectures and collegial interactions. The Symposium will discuss methods to minimize cancer-induced side effects, the symptoms and complications of its treatment, and psychosocial issues facing cancer patients and their families. MASCC and ISOO are excited to host this extraordinary Symposium in the beautiful city of Vancouver, with its cultural attractions, magnificent scenery, and exciting places to see. This Symposium is intended for physicians, nurses, dentists, oral surgeons, dental hygienists, pharmacists, psychologists, social workers, nutritionists, and other health care professionals involved in the care of cancer patients.
Accreditation
For the convenience of participants, Continuing Medical Education will be provided for respective professional groups.
Satellite Symposia and Exhibition
Corporate support is a longstanding and valuable part of the MASCC/ISOO Annual Symposium’s growth into what is today one of the largest annual meetings on supportive care issues. Satellite Symposia on specific topics will be scheduled around the main MASCC/ISOO Symposium. An extensive commercial exhibition will be organized with ample time for attendees to visit.

Call for Abstracts
Authors with new research are invited to submit an abstract for review by Scientific Committee at www.mascc.org. You do not have to be a member of MASCC to submit an abstract. All accepted abstracts, which will be eligible for oral or poster presentations, received prior to February 15, 2010 will be published in Supportive Care in Cancer and will be distributed to Symposium attendees. Abstracts received after 5 PM EST February 15, 2010 will not be considered. For additional information, including submission instructions and guidelines, please visit the Website at: www.mascc.org.
Young Investigator Awards
Awards for outstanding abstracts submitted by “Young Investigators” will be announced at the 2010 International Symposium, Supportive Care in Cancer in Vancouver, Canada. Candidates can be of any profession and from any country. Apply for Award when submitting your abstract at www.mascc.org.
Criteria Includes:
• Must be age 40 years or younger
• In training or in practice for 2 years or less
• Abstract ranked in the top 20% of all accepted abstracts
• May not have received a previous Young Investigator Award
Scholarships for Attendance
A limited number of travel scholarships will be awarded to applicants from developing countries who meet identified criteria at the discretion of the MASCC Awards Committee to attend the 2010 International Symposium. Please download a Scholarship Application. Application must be received by February 15, 2010. Written notification will be sent to selected applicants on or before March 31, 2010.
