World Cancer Day — February 4th

February 2019

World Cancer Day is a global observance that helps raise people’s awareness of cancer and how to prevent, detect, and treat it. This event is held each year on February 4th — a time when people, businesses, governments, and nonprofit organizations work together to help the general public learn more about the different types of cancer, as well as prevention, treatment, and support. The 2019-2021 campaign theme, “I Am and I Will,” stresses empowerment and personal commitment and is intended to inspire change and mobilize action long after the official day has passed. This is also a good time to help spread the word about the importance of supportive cancer care, both for people living with cancer and their caregivers.
